The Rift
First Fight:
Troll Keeper must die first.
Second Fight:
Mezz Slave and Slave Master keep them separated as much as possible. Kill all adds then kill Slave Keeper first. If the Slave and Slave Keeper are to close to one another you will be 1 shotted.
Third Fight:
Mezz Slave Master. Kill adds. Kill Slave Master.
Fourth Fight:
Troll Keeper then Troll. Best to pull into the cave.
Fifth Fight:
Mezz Slave and Slave Master. Keep them away from each other. Kill adds then Kill Slave Master/ Slave.
Sixth fight:
Go down the ramp… Across the middle up the ramp. From the first ramp up you should be able to mezz the slave master. Kill adds. Then Slave Master. AOE Root the Slave Masters. AOE root the Workers. Kill what comes. These Slave Masters can not be CCed other than Roots. Have one tank/champ on one slave master and another on the other until all adds are dead. Then kill the slave masters. Have one person go over and start the script. After script is started go through gate into the cave.
7th:
Troll keeper then Troll.
8th:
Kill pale folk and single pull Slave master.
9th:
Have a burg stealth in and riddle the slave and then mezz the slave master. Kill adds then Slave Master then Slave.
10th:
Have a burg stealth in and riddle the slave. (right side of bridge) Mezz Slave Master kill adds. Kill Slave Master kill Slave.

Barz Boots
Use a 15 minute token. Tank Barz. When he says “I’ll knaw your bones” (will either hear it or see it in chat. Sometimes you will only see it in chat) get away from him he does a nasty melee triple that will one shot you if you are within range. First wave of adds kill troll keeper first then troll. Second wave of adds mezz the slave and leave her mezzed kill adds and then dps the hell out of Barz. After Barz is down kill the slave. Congrats you just made it through the first hour of the rift.

Go out the way you came in. Stay away from the Giant in the middle so you don’t pull unnessecary adds. Go back up the ramp instead of going back through the cave go up the ramp behind you. This one can just be zerged 1 Slave master. Go in the cave down the ramp stay to the right of the ramp. Zerg the Pale folk at the bottom. Have one person burg/minstrel go up and pull the troll keeper/troll from the right side of the rock so you do not agro the other mobs to the left. Go to the left of the ramp and have a burg stealth in to the mobs to riddle the slave. Mezz the slave master. Again kill adds slave master and slave. In the middle AOE root the workers. Mezz the slave. Kill workers then Slave. Go over to the left wall and kill all of the pale folk don’t get to close to Zurm.

Zurm Boots
You don’t have to run away from him like you do Barz. Just be weary of his stone throwing. First wave of adds kill the troll keeper then troll. Second wave of adds mezz the slave kill adds kill Zurm. Then kill the slave. Congratz second boss down.

Go the way you came in. Go up to the Giant and he will open the door behind him. Go down and go to the left in the big room. Stay in the back until the adds come in and start fighting the giants. Once these mobs are down to half health have someone go in and pull the walkers/mobs back up to the giants. (captains/Minstrels can do this well) Remember to stay to the right when going down the stairs to not pull the mobs to the left.
Once the adds pulled into the giants are engaged wait until the second round of butchers come in. Then everyone move down the stairs/passage way.

Fruz Gloves
You may have 1 or 2 walkers here that you need to kill. Kill them and then all enter the room together at once. Stay to the left of the room so you do not start the script. Pop 15 min tokens. Have the tank keep Furz in the back corner. The champ should be over under the stairs to aoe stun the adds when they come down to keep them from going to Furz. If they get to him they will heal him. Do not use LM tar or mezz any of the adds will bug them and the champs aoe stun will not work. This fight can take anywhere from 8mins to 30 mins depending on how well your champ does with the stuns. Congratz 3rd boss down.

Go through the door. Into the tunnel. Your choice to CC these or zerg them. End of tunnel 2 walkers… Pull them single kill then zerg the 4.
Go into the entrance pull the mobs through the entrance and LOS them with the wall. Kill em. Move in kill the roaming fire worms. Jump up on the rock on the left mezz the drake and back mob. Clear them. Jump down move back over to the fire drakes aoe root and los them behind the rock.

Zogtark Leggings
Pop 15 minute tokens 1 Tank on the left one turn it to face the wall away from everyone. 2nd tank on the right drake faceing the wall away from everyone. Melee the adds then attack one of the drakes at a time. The drakes will fly into the air. Kill one at a time. A tank needs to break off and pull the boss away from the drakes he will heal them in the air if they are to close. Range the drakes one at a time until they come back down. Kill them. Then the boss. Congratz 4th boss down.

Narnublat Chest
Go through the door. In this room you have Fumroles and Searing Urions. The bridges cause fire damage to you and the Searing do the exact same amount of damage to you that you do to them. Minstrels will pull heal agro so becareful. Move as one green dot so that you are not popping more than more at a time. CC the adds that will come and kill them once the Fumrole and Searings are dead. Once you have moved over the second bridge and are kill the third Fumrole have someone run up and stop the script this will keep the adds from coming. Kill adds. Move over to the boss pop a 30 minute token for each group (this token will take you through this fight and the next boss fight)
1 Champ on the right side for darklings 1 champ on the left side (if no champs hunters can do this really well) Main tank on the boss with a LM to clear Wounds. Everyone else kills the Shammans 1 at a time. Once the Shammans are done focus on the boss. (the 2 still should be killing Darklings someone may have to help them as they will be getting 2 at a time now and at a faster rate) Kill the boss finish of darklings. Congratz 5th boss down.

World Eater/Shadow Eater
Go through the door. Kill the 2 walkers. Your choice after those are down to CC or zerg. Go up the passage/ramp kill the kill the adds. If you are stuck in combat because a fire worm is stuck under the gate everyone go back down walk through the door drop combat. Come back up and the fire worm will reset.
2 ways to do this fight. The most effective way is to have the secondary tank (hopefully a champ tank the smaller of the two and constantly spam clobber. If you see the black swirlies he needs to be clobbered/addled or CJed both bosses) Once they have both reach the same amount of HP have the second group (none main tank group) start on the little guy. Keep there hp about the same and dps them both down at the same time. If one gets a head of the other a hunter and go back and forth. If you get a summoned worldeater mezz it. Congratz 6th Boss down.

Thrang Helm
Have both Minstrels pop a 30 minute token. Main tank on Giant. 4 waves of adds. On the first 3 waves of adds you can zerg or cc. Your choice depending upon your dps. On the 4th wave of adds you get 2 summoners. The furthest one needs to be mezzed and kept that way. Kill the first one and any worms it may of spawned. Once that one is dead have the main tank move over to the left side of the left stairs. He needs 1 captain 1 minstrel 1 lm master. Everyone else move into the center crevice beside the right stair case. Kill the mezzed summoner. If he summons fireworms remezz him and kill the worms first. When the summoner / worms are dead kill the main tank and secondary tank need to go up and try to only pull 2 shamans to each side. The main group kills their 2 and then moves over to the main tank and kills his. When Thrang comes down THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO LET WHOEVER HAS AGGRO PULL HIM. Pull him into the fumorles until he is able to be hurt. If a CJ is popped go all red the yellow will not help. Keep the person pulling him through stun protected and healed. When you start fighting for agro is when people die. Congratz 7th boss down.

Thaurloch Shoulders/Weapon
Pop a 30 min token. Best to start with the minstrels. The main tank will keep his token for himself. When you go in 1 champ 1 hunter goes to the right everyone else to the left. Mezz the worldeater across the water. Watch for darklings and kill as they spawn. Kill the two worldeaters and wait for the npc to clear the water.
After she clears the water go to the right side. Mezz the world eater across the water watch for darklings and kill when they spawn. Kill the 2 worldeaters and wait and protect the npc as she clears the water.
Lever rooms. In the right room have 2 lm’s 1 champ 1 captain. The LM’s root the mobs while the champ goes in and pulls the lever. If the champ is aggroed the Captain goes in and pulls the lever. Left room have 1 burg and another class go in. The burg riddles and pops touch and go while the other person runs in and pulls the lever.
While the levers are being pulled the 2 hunters needs to be standing in the center facing the Balrog once the Balrog’s chains break the hunters should be doing whatever they can to pull agro from the npc. Penetrating shot works really well as is it fast induction. Once the Balrog breaks and the water clears the tank and jump in and start tanking. Will get worldeaters and summoned darklings again. Assist off the main assist CC what you can and kill until all adds are dead. Remember to watch for summonded darklings so that you don’t have extra mobs spawn.

Leave one minstrel with the tank and everyone else group up in the back to go to the everseers room.
Once inside the everseers room clobber the everseer as fast as possible to keep him from doing the aoe fear/wound. Champ tanks everseer. 1 lm 1 hunter on each side killing darklings. Burn the everseer down as quick as possible.
Once the everseer is dead regen a little and have someone do the levers. 4 2 1 is the code for the levers. Before the doors are opened have the captains do muster courage. Be ready to riddle/mezz the world eater. If you get a hope wipe wait until you are back at the white circle and have the next person in line to pop ready to pop. Remember if the tank loses his here he needs to pop for himself. (there is a flash that happens after the door is opened if you go out after the flash you will more than likely miss the hope wipe)

Kill the Worldeater and then everyone on the Balrog.
Steps to tanking the Balrog

1. After both sides of the pool are cleared come to the platform and wait for the balrog to break his platforn and the big pool to be cleared then jump down grab aggro and assume position 1.

2. This part of the fight will go very simple for you just tank the balrog untill the rest of the raid kills the everseer part. (be glad u dont have to worry about him hehe)

3. Once the Everseer is dead there is a chance u will loose hope, dont panic, either pop your own or if one of your group is very close have them pop it, but whatever u do dont die. The NPC will jump down to fight with you just make sure she isnt taking much aoe damage. Also atthis part of the fight the balrog puts armor breaches on u ranging from minor small large major and grievous. (THESE HURT) make sure your healers are healing u like crazy.

4. when the balrog hits 125k turn the balrog to position 2, at 110k he will toss diseases and poisons on you. make sure your LMs hunters and burgs are on the ball with disease and poison heals. (mainly the poisons have to be healed the fastest or you will be dead in 5 seconds)

5. when the balrog hits 55k he will start to jump in the air, when he does ruuuunn like hell to the ledge indicated on my map. keep doing so till it is time to burn him down. Make sure u have aggro this whole time.

Once u have completed these steps CONGRATULATIONS!!! you have tanked and spanked the toughest boss in the game





Once the balrog is at about 12-13k Hunters needs to make sure they are at full focus so they can spam penetrating shot/merciful shot and heartseeker. Use intent concentration and rinse repeat.
Congrats Balrog dead and you have completed the rift.

Remeber on the Balrog he likes to wipe hope... so make sure the leader has a list of both groups and marks off who has popped and who hasnt. This is the best strat we have come up with so far.

We need to update this a bit- I noticed some errors in the first few fights...
